Sanderhead Overview
The Kemet sanderhead allows precision contour surface finish, eliminating hand sanding operations. Flexible fibre brushes force cloth-backed abrasive strips to follow every contour to achieve uniformly superior standard of finish. These abrasive strips are supplied in slashed form for sanding contour surfaces. The abrasive strips are stored neatly in the core of the sanderhead so that worn ends can be quickly replenished with new material.
Sanderheads are available in 3 sizes with various cutting widths of abrasive. The 8P and 12P models are driven by a bench or floor type spindle stand whilst the lightweight 6P1 and 6P2 models can be used with hand held portable and flexible power tools. The maximum operating speed for 6P1, 6P2, 8P2 models is 2800 rpm; the maximum operating speed of 8P4 is 1800 rpm; the maximum operating speed for 12P2, 12P4, 12P6 is 1400 rpm The sanderhead is constructed as a quality product and all parts which are subject to abrasive wear can easily be replaced. Various mounting options, bush options and stub shaft options are available.
A wide range of aluminium oxide slashed abrasive loadings are available to suit the Sanderhead. The choice depends on the contour and material to be sanded.
